GIVE YOUR GUITAR THE REST THEY DESERVE

About us

Welcome to TimberLens-Creations! Our story began with an exciting leap—turning a love for woodworking into a small business. We created this platform at the advent of a courageous decision of taking up this journey, transforming a hobby into a venture, and TimberLens-Creations was born.

At TimberLens we create handcrafted and very aesthetically presented solid wood Guitar Stands. Each creation is unique in design, composition and shows off an elegant curved body to compliment a Guitarist’s love and passion for music and their equipments - perfect to adorn a beautiful Atelier, studio or a tastefully done living space.

You might be curious about our name—the 'Timber' part makes sense, but where does 'Lens' come in? That's a nod to my other creative passion: photography. When I started as a hobbyist, blending these two loves just felt right, and the name has stayed with me as the foundation of my creative venture.

At TimberLens we thrive on our craftsmanship and our commitment to create positive change which empowers us to improve lives in communities around the world. We are proud to be associated with supporting children's in Tanzania for their academics and health, an initiative led by our elder daughter Genevra.

Why Woodworking

In a world dominated by technology there is a silent need to embrace the simplicity and satisfaction of working with one's own hands., An age-old craft that dates back centuries, has been my go to stress buster as I try to reconnect with this tradition and test my creativity.

At its core, woodworking is more than just cutting and shaping wood; it is a deeply rewarding hobby that allows individuals to create functional and beautiful pieces of art. The process of selecting the perfect piece of wood, envisioning a design, and meticulously crafting it into reality requires patience, precision, and a keen eye for detail.

Engaging in woodworking can be a therapeutic experience, providing a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment as each project progresses from raw materials to a finished masterpiece. The smell of freshly-cut wood, the feel of a smooth finish under your fingertip, details which invoke curiosity, at same time finding a fine balance between aesthetics and stability, makes this journey a very rewarding one.

our first guitar stand

I am a woodworking hobbyist and as this passion evolved over years, I've crafted few for my friends and family. Here, I'm sharing a piece of that journey with you during our first build.

This #guitarstand is built entirely in my home workshop. The main body is crafted from beautiful solid cherry wood, chosen for its timeless warmth. A little flair was added to the neck and base where I placed accents of exotic woods : a splash of Purpleheart, the richness of mahogany, the texture of walnut, and the bold stripes of Zebrawood.

In addition, it includes a discreet, gold toned hygrometer to protect guitar's health and a leather pick holder with a brass Lone Star thumbtack—a tribute to the heart of Texas. This was my first sale from my garage workshop!
